Scope and acceptance references
Identify the components and systems included in the work, the checks required by the project and the applicable acceptance references. Assign the parties responsible for performing, witnessing and reviewing each activity.
| Review point | Record to agree |
|---|---|
| Installation readiness | Component identification, installation status and outstanding items |
| Equipment startup | Supplier procedures, service readiness and activity records |
| Project-required tests | Method, acceptance reference, responsible party and required report |
| Issue closure | Action owner, completion evidence and recheck status |
| Handover | Approved document list, remaining responsibilities and operating information |
Prepare the Equipment and Its Records
Equipment references and supplier documents connect the installed items to the startup review. Check that the information belongs to the actual equipment and the agreed work package before the activities are scheduled.
- Installation and service-readiness information
- Relevant supplier operating or maintenance documents
- Agreed startup or test procedure references
- The document and revision needed for each record

Close the Loop on Remaining Items
- IdentifyWhat needs correction or further information
- AssignResponsible party and next action
- ResolveCompletion information and the agreed recheck
- HandoverRecord status and ongoing responsibilities
Keep the record connected to the result
Each remaining item should point to its equipment or drawing reference, required action and follow-up record. The final handover list shows what has been closed and what still needs the project team’s attention.
Define the Completion Records for Your Scope
- The installed component/equipment scope
- Project-required checks and acceptance references
- Supplier documents and the required report list
- Responsible parties and the current open-item status
